They list there trials on the website as they become available and take them down once all the screening appointmnents are full. You must call for a phone screen 1.877.617.8839 but I would also contact their website and select the study for a call back.They receive many phone calls a day. Their stuides fill quickly. The rooms all have a view of the Harbor and the facility is clean. They also do many Healthy and Patient studies.

my experiences there have been negative. if you are close, go screen, but it might not be worth a long drive. i live 500 miles away. i have gotten there and been told they cancelled my study but didnt bother to tell me. i have gotten there and been told the screening will take 3 days, not the 3 hours i was told. it is in the ghetto, and they seem to not treat us with dignity and respect. they pay $10 for screening, when i spend more than that on tolls. so i never go there any more. but i have talked to people who have been there and had it go ok. oh and plan to be on hold for an hour when you call long distance. = a little off topic, but re baltimore, snbl has a study for older women.
HEALTHY POSTMENOPAUSAL WOMEN SNBL CPC, Inc. invites you to participate in a research study at our clinical research facility in downtown Baltimore. We are looking for postmenopausal women to participate in a research study involving an investigational medication.
Participants must be: Healthy postmenopausal women, 40 years of age and older Non smokers (for at least 6 months) Available for an inpatient stay of 21 days/20 nights and 1 follow up visit.
Eligible participants may receive up to $4800 for time and travel.
Contact the SNBL Recruiting Department now: 410.706.8833 or
Email: recruiter@snbl-cpc.com the place which cannot be named in southwest indiana has a similar $9k study for older women with lots of returns.

I like PAREXEL the rooms have a water view and it is clean. The phones are always busy though you should also e-mail them but still call. At least they take down the studies off the website when the screening appointment are full. There are fewer places to partipate in trials these days. The screening fee is $ 20.00 + they have'nt paid $ 10 dollars in a few years but it is never enough. They always seem to have trials avaiable. I would give it a shot.

Parexel is ok. I had my first study here. The screening fee is $20 and all studies are listed online. You will have more success emailing them because they do respond by close of the following day. I've found if you call you will need to call several times throughout the day to get someone unless you've actually done a study and have direct numbers to a couple of the admin staff. And they do always have trials. I drove from NC to participate in a study. Worked for me and I got my money without any grief. I'd say give it a shot also.

Thinking of doing a study there...did not have a warm and fuzzy feel from the recruiter. They even had to to get the recruiting manager to clarify things...they were very condenscending and not as polite...will follow up after screening.

I did a 32 day study there last year and had a pretty good experience from recruiting to screening to the actual study. I'd do another one there if airline tickets were as cheap from st louis again or if i am close.

Get ready for the PARanormal experience at PARexel. Situated on the 7th floor of Harbor hospital, its alleged that its former psych ward. Get ready for the shock. Some of the staff could be very rude but then again this is not a 5 star hotel. No its not the drugs and you are not having an outter body experience. The only thing worse than than the attitudes is when they mess up a procedure . Dont complain though you may just make your stay more hostile. Though this is alleged former psych ward the program is not being ran by bunch of asylumees, they have been in biz for quite a while. Hell if you hated your job you may behave kind of weird . The people there have a right to have messed life like the rest of us. Who knows the drugs you are taking may help some of them in the future if they ever need it. P.S the nice people there are really nice, I wish they would do more to promote those type of people .

I like Paraxel. So far, it's my favorite place to do studies at.
Pros::
- In most studies, when it comes to dosing, the staff comes to you; you don't have to leave your dorm or even the comfort of your bed to get dosed.
- Every screening visit will compensate you with $20 cash.
- You often times will be placed in a room with a view of the harbor.
Cons::
- Have to wear hospital scrubs (not a big deal for me).
- Can't bring any USB connectors.

I don't know what their policy is, but in the last study I was in at Parexel, I know there was at least one person who was hours late.
It'd probably be a good idea to call and ask.

Hi all,
I started a new facebook page: Labratus Thought it would be faster to chat about tips, travel and ride sharing.
Thanks, Cheryl

Which study are you screening for park? I'm screening on Monday for a $4200 - 15 night study.
