Thanks Vark, I appreciate this useful knowledge, and welcome more of it!
Sadly(?), I wonder how many lab rats give much thought to the motives and ods of the big pharma ph***s who pay us? I know it isnt of interest to everyone, but it makes me curious if anyone else gives serious consideration to whom we're actually enabling in CERTAIN studies, instead of just the "medical hero" hype like the t-shirts that one corporation gives to participants.
I think this is on topic and short enough not to offend Franz, but let me know if it isn't. As usual, I thank you(everyone) for your support. (Bartles and James).

jeez with the low number of posters on this board, the last thing we need to be concerned about is whether someone's posts are too long.
People: if a post is too long for you and uses too many big words, skip it.

jeez with the low number of posters on this board, the last thing we need to be concerned about is whether someone's posts are too long. People: if a post is too long for you and uses too many big words, skip it. As arbiter of award nominations(apparently no one else wanted to participate!), I nominate this for 2017 most logical post of the year, so far. (I was hoping to be nominated for 2016 rookie of the year, but I kind of want to quote that drill sargeant at the beginning of Full Metal Jacket, about what folks wouldnt give the courtesy of!! ). Anyhow, I would like to build community here, and draw some of these lurkers into posting...and not just about how bad Spaulding apparently sucks(although the first complainer went on about how quickly their studies fill up!!! Makes one wonder what's true and what isnt). But I fully agree with TravelingRat, one of the board's all stars(although I would like to encourage TR to contribute some details on studies, especially the current one!! ) that the board is basically on life support, and the ingrate should be happy some folks are helping to give it signs of life! Even the posters who only seem to have 1 objective are somewhat entertaining, and possibly informative(unsure on that as of now, but very possible). I suppose when people are reading on their PHONES, things tend to look longer on the small screen. Ive done it in clinics, but enjoy a real monitor when I am back in the real world. Imagine if you had to give up everything in the real world that you did in studies, full time. If the complainers are stick on 4 inches instead of 23, I dont suppose I can blame them for being ticked off. It's similar to what Jimi Hendrix was getting at in his classic song, "Are You Experienced"....if you have the bigger view or the smaller one. TravelingRat, you made me smile. Youre a true asset to this board, and I hope to milk more info from the study from you, though I understand your reservations. Hey TR, in my long post, I decided you'd look better with an avatar(I think most users would!), and I took the time to find you one! I hope you'll like it. If so, you can "copy image location"(right click), and then paste it for your avatar in your profile menu. If you wish to and need help, feel free to ask(actually, that goes for anyone and about anything, feel free to send me a private message!)

Hey travelingrat, i think the avatar that puntkicker picked out is aawesome. Would be perfect for you. And I also don't mind long posts since there are only a few regular posters And it gives me a way to feel part of a community. I just started doing phase 1 last year, actually Jan 2016,so I still have so much to learn. Thanks all for sharing the ups and downs of being a clinical trial "vounteer".

A little about me: I am just getting started in clinical trials . Became unemployed and was doing small outpatient studies until someone told me about Covance and it has ed up a new world of making money.
So I am trying to do more inpatient studies and am hoping to do even more next year.
