Can anyone find that semirecent thread about a gene database

Hi, I've searched multiple ways and am looking for an article posted within the last couple of months(I think), which I also think was posted by Vark.  It involved some company making a gene database, or soing of that sort.  It's important to me, and semi urgent, or I wouldnt bother the fine lot of you.  Im really, really, really hoping someone has better search skills than myself.  I wouldnt be surprised if it was a thread with a number of articles posted in it.  Id be very grateful for any help.

EDIT: I'm not sure what area it was in, I thought either this or General, but havent found it in them.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.  It puzzles me that I havent found it yet.  I'm usually pretty good at such things.  It's time sensitive, I dont have long to decide, or I wouldnt have humbled myself to ask for help.  Thanks
