Laptop or phone for long studies?

I think I remember Vark saying he went to Walmart(I think) to a laptop before one study.  It's been a good while, so I could be wrong on that, but regardless I have a question.  I'm considering doing the same(probably elsewhere, but maybe there if they have soing decent), and am curious what folks think?  I'm looking at a refurbished one, to keep the price reasonable, while still getting soing pretty decent.  

In the past Ive just used my phone, but I'm about to enter a long study and also I've finally decided to start building a website on a domain I've had for a long while.  Do you think phone would be sufficient for such a thing, or should I a laptop?


In studies, I'm generally careful to keep my phone on me.  Do folks feel there is any likelihood of a laptop being stolen, or is it relatively safe due to it's size?  Curious how you all feel about such things.  As always, thank you for your support.

I think laptop though I take my I Pad and phone but I am thinking about ing a portable DVD playerso I can watch movies.
I have a laptop but they are rather large but if u are going to start working on it , making a domain etc. , laptop way to go.
Actually a lot of people take laptops and they are harder to steal. I am going by Covance I never worry about my phone or I Pad so far my room mates have been great.
So either a laptop or a tablet but tablets limit u.
Hopefully u will get more input.
I think Walmart or even Best might have a refurbished laptop if u want to in the store.
