I got excluded from doing studies at PPD because of a stool sample I gave while screening for the $8000 study. I'm sure I'm not the first person this has happened to. They want me to see a primary doctor but I don't have one. Does anyone who's went thru this with them before know how to fix this in to go back there?
I'll admit PPD isn't one of my preferred clinics but I need to get back in there ASAP

what exactly do they want the primary doctor to do? if they want a bunch of tests, that could be expensive.
do they jsut want a simple re-screen? i remember reading that there are labs that will do a single test so that you are not paying for a lot of tests you don't need.
are you in a city that may have a free clinic or sliding scale clinic? in New York, columbia university has (or did have) a free clinic every wednesday evening.
i suggest going online and searching out free or low-cost options in your area.
anyway it would help if we knew exactly what PPD said you need to do as "Go see your primary doctor" seems a bit vague.
there is a simple test kit for colorectal cancer that is quick and easy. maybe they just want you to get that kit and take it to a lab.
these are jsut some random suggestions and some other forum members probably have better ones.....but the Forum is pretty dead these days so i am making these suggestions anyway. best wishes to you.

Thanks for the reply traveling rat. All I heard from PPD was go so your doctor. No specific or detailed instructions really. I have to request for PPD to send me aedical release form then send it back to them just to request a copy of my labs. I have no idea what the next step is after that

hi cantgetright,
i jsut saw that you have sent a private message and i responded. basically i think you should call and ask for a coordinator or the study doctor to get back to you and hopefully, someone will.
anyone out there who has been to PPD and might suggest a particular staff person that cantgetright could ask to speak with? i have not been there.

It seems to me that when clinic doctors tell you soing unspecific such as "Go see your doctor" it is an indication that they don't want to deal with you and will avoid you and will avoid answering questions.
