Hello I'm new to the board, but not new to doing studies although I am recently getting back into it. In my most recent experience. I signed up and screened for a study at Quintiles when my labs came back I had a test that was out of range. So I had to drive from Saint Louis back to Kansas/Quintiles for a retest. After the retest my lab for the test came back still out of range. So it was a waste of my time going back up there although the study was for 5,800. On my ride back home i decided to google clinical trials and I came across Covance. After briefly browsing, I seen they also had a study for 5,800. I googled the distance from STL to Evansville and I was excited to see that it was approx 3hr 30min. I called Covance ASAP and set up a screening. After my screening my labs came back and I had to retest again because my liver enzymes were elevated, i believe this may hv been from drinking sn energy drink that morning before i hit the road. So after the retest everything was good and i was admitted into the study. I recieved a call shortly after from Covance saying the study got pushed back. So I decided to call PharmaMedica because I had recently registered a werk prior and also someone called me trying to recruit me at the last minute for a study checking in in two days. So i called and set up a screening. Shortly after Covance called back and said I was back on for the original date. So i called PharmaMedica back to cxl the screening. They cxld it eventually but not without a fight. The recruiter told me they really needed ppl for that study and she ually tried to set me up for a screening after I repetedly told her no. I said all of that and told that great awesome story to say this. PharmaMedica comes off as desperate for subjects for their studies. Ive done many studies at Gateway Medical and a few at Cetero but was skeptical after the name changes and the bankruptcy incident.
