Just got through a second non-consecutive 3-day stay.
I had screened at Clinilabs about four times in the past five years and each time it seemed to me that Clinilabs was an unusually well-run facility. I had never qualified for any study I screened for until this one which is the first one I had ever done for Clinilabs. I am wondering if someting had happened in very recent years. MOst of the in-house staff have been kind , but it seems that the place is understaffed. I am surprised at the extent of disorganization. I am really surprised that there is the kind of social atmosphere that exists at Celerion NJ with ghetto types and EX-con types freely disobeying rules.

So you did 6 overnights separately?

No. It means that the first time I stayed 3 days, then I was sent home and then I returned agin for another 3 days. It was two different stays of 3-nights each. Not 6 overnights.

Not surprised at the kind of atmos at clini. There is one habitual hardcore drug user that does almost all of the studies. He stays clean enough to pass the drug screening. Even if he screens at the back of the line he gets in because he charms the hell out of them. Most of the participants notices the signs but some how it eludes the staff. He becomes withdrawn from social contact as he is going through withdrawal symptoms. Given that they do a lot of psychiatric medication may be they should hire a psychiatrist to handle the screening process that way when he starts with stories of why he needs to get in the study the doctor would notice the mannerism and personality profile of crack addict. What he really means is that he needs to get into the study to get a hit. Wearing sunglasses to hide wild eyes is a dead giveaway. Then they wonder why the study ends up being cancelled. You have just dosed the asylum. Sounds to me like conducting phase 2 in a phase 1 trial.

Mike, what's your number? May be I can pass it along. You sound just like the kind of guy that he can go on the road with to a next study until he wakes up and accuse you of attacking him in a dream or find in hiding under your bed because aliens might get him!
