Not to take away from the title of this site and not even because I take offense at the label. But true lab rats don't get paid. When one accepts the labeling so easily one can lose perspective. I noticed in this Dr. Efros' infomercial that seeming contempt that he has for so called human lab rats. The title human lab rat doesn't even make sense. I believe this guy is simply an opportunist as some have already alluded to.
The only one truly at risk for dual enrollment is the participant. When was sued as other Big Pharma companies, it wasn't because of skewed research involving life risking study participants, but because their product caused side effects that they claim they were unaware of. That is due to too little research. Put their product on the market too quickly in their quest for quick profit. We should not let this penis doctor cause chaos by playing on the foolish behavior of some participants. Nor should we let him get away with the blatant diespect. Each of us should take upon ourselves to add to this blog any, and I mean ANY INFORMATION about this guy. And if he or his argument has problems EXPOSE HIM!!!

I have hypothetical questions. If Dr.Efros' patient under his supervision enrolls in clinical trial how does the verification system handles this scenario. Would he then propose that his patient be registered in a database to eliminate this possibility.
Such a scenario is in the realm of possibilities. Would a concurrence of his patient in trial while under his supervision justify a broader infringement of patients HIPAA rights? Can a Clinical Research Unit now insist on contacting one's doctor to allow participating in a study? Its in the realm imagination that anyone's doctor has critical health risk information about an individual. Why don't we just create a mass database with some minimal identifying code that allow pathway to a clinician to quickly assess those risk and also include Mitchell EFROS M.D. patients? OOPs we have soing called HIPAA.
When any doctor indulges in chipping away at HIPAA rights society should be wary of that doctor and a patient should do his or her due diligence and commit only to a doctor that share his or her privacy values.

I have a few questions--and doubts--about August's blog entry. justanotherlabrat.blogspot.com/My first question: this is a blog entry? It's clearly not: it's an advertisement. I've tried to figure out exactly who/what this company is. Apparently, it's owned by a urologist named Mitchell Efros. He has this very amusing informercial on YouTube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-j38uI7Qet4The informercial contains footage "Courtesy of: Council for Research Subject Safety and Data Integry." Who exactly is that? Why, it's a little organization headed by... Dr Efros! www.councilforclinicalresearch.com/leadership.aspxCompare the "leadership" of this "council" with that of the company Efros' heads: www.accumedresearch.com/about-us.phpMy first scent of B.S. came from the "blog" entry, which is plainly a paid advertisement. My second, from the comments on the YouTube video. Read them. They're obviously the work of sock puppets. Click on those (all very similar) YouTube account names, too. How many of them even have any "Favorites"? What other comments have they made? Anyone else have any thoughts on this, or about this website's evidently total lack of integrity? This post was made six years ago. They've been lying to you for six years.

There is an organization called "AAHRPP" meaning " Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs."
Some clinics have a poster or sign on the wall stating that their facility was accredited by AAHRPP.
I don't know how much I can safely elaborate, but right now suffice to say it is laughable.
