Parexel conducts screening today Black Friday March 13th! The key is you must get there before 2pm. screening do not require you to book an appointment nor can you book and appoint for an screener. Your best bet is to show up fasting and drug free to screening for a study today. Individuals who would have done no more than 3 studies in a year and none in the last one to two months stands a good chance of screening. The cut off for most studies are 55.and bmi of 30 and over are easy exclusions.

Thanks. I missed another chance for the $10,000 / 40 day study because they still had me enrolled in another study from last year so I couldn't come in for a screening. Hopefully another cohort comes in when I'm available. People keep telling me it's the easiest study they've ever done. I wonder who's the sponsor?

They just had another shot today at a $10k/39 day study. In a 2 hour time-span, was on hold the whole time. Now it's filled up.

i had low expectations for parexel, and they have been met. i'm in a dorm with about 12 guys, all black but me. maybe it's an older crowd but there's not too much drama. but it's noisy and crowded. 4 tvs going plus peoples computers, game machines, radios, phones etc. the guy next to me is so loud i got about an hours sleep last night. it's hot. i forgot to bring a thermometer. can't get any work done in this noise. there's a "quiet room" but the door's to the noisy hall and people are noisy in there anyway. it's not the kind of place where you'd want to make a polite request for somebody to shut the **** up. i'm just keeping my head down and doing my time. staff mostly ignores us except for procedures, so the inmates run the asylum. the food is bad, think 1950s jr high cafeteria, lots of gravy over powdered mashed potatoes,an overboiled veggie, and some mystery meat. today was veal or poodle i think. the food repeats every week, and some items get repeated at lunch and dinner. the closest they have to soing fresh is an iceberg lettuce salad with only italian dressing. cows milk at every meal but you dont have to eat any of it. the meals are premade so if you dont want it you just throw it away. no problems with staff or procedures. there's one long corridor you could walk down, but they store stuff there and its the only corridor, so it would be pretty crowded to try to take a walk. one lounge with more tvs, 5 books, 3 magazines, 30 jigsaw puzzles. i guess they figure we are functionally illiterate. i think there's an exam room you can go into for some quiet, i'm not sure. the bathrooms are kept locked and they give you a key - kind of stupid and diespectful way to go about it. it's clear they don't care, and they get a population that is used to being treated like cattle. last week we only had one bathroom for the 12 of us but they got the 2nd one repaired now. so, it's not great, but it's about what i expected, not the worst place ive been. a few more days to go and one followup. lots of studies going on at once so it's pretty full most of the time. it's a place i'll come back to when i can't find soing better.
"Why would you not go to the staff to put a stop to that? There is no excuse to be loud during the night." going to staff got me banned at covance.

You only got 1 hour of sleep because the person next to you was being loud all night? Why would you not go to the staff to put a stop to that? There is no excuse to be loud during the night.

Is this your first study there ? If so, bring headphones next time. Otherwise, get used to it. This is the typical Parexel labrats. A $10k study will attract the all sorts of people, especially Baltimorians.

I have been to Covance Daytona and people complain without a problem. Many people like to talk on their phones in the bedroom and do not realize that they are talking loud and many of us are trying to rest so we complain. Of course the person complained about is not happy. Plus at midnight lights are out which is great though they are back at 6 am to wake u up for ?? Good question. I mean on dosing day they need to wake u up on the other days not sure why. i have a friend screening next week at paraxel Baltimore so I will see how it went . That is why I am reviewing these posts hoping to give her some useful information.
