I'm looking at doing my first study soon. I was wondering how strick security is at most places. I'm not planning on sneaking anything in, but are the always going to be going through my stuff? I've heard before that some places strip search you, is that true?

What clinic are you going to? some are very lax, some (like PPD) pretty much strip search you.

some places have uniformed guards who take themselves too seriously. all places will search your bags for candy or medicine when you come in; it's part of the protocol. i've never been strip searched at a study. some places do nothing to screen the volunteers, so you wind up sharing space with violent loud criminals. most places are pretty cool as long as you are following the protocols; jasper and madison are examples of places i liked.

Yes, they are filled with violent loud criminals, in fact if you yourself are not a violent loud criminal you might not even get into the study.

Not every study or facility is filled with "loud violent criminals"! I'm sure there are places that allow certain behavior (Parexel had some "" in a longer study I did last year but most other places don't put up with aggressive behavior.
