How is it like to stay at PPD ? Is the facility any good or do they put you in a hospital looking like environment ?

Most clinics pack in too many people into too small of a space. PPD is the worst of the 6 clinics i've been to. In the section I was in, we had 8 people in bunk beds in a very small room with no windows. My least favorite place to go. It pays well per night but there are better options.

Damn! I might reconsider my options then! staying 20+ days in a place like this will get under my skin. What are the best facilities that have inpatient stays to do study with in term of housing ?

None of the clinics are a nice place to stay. You always have to share rooms and the noise level is always too high. I've heard that Vince & Associates has the best housing but I haven't been there so can't say for sure. is the best place of the 6 clinics i've been to but they pay a little on the lower side. Some places can vary greatly. At Spaulding you can be in a room with just 2 people or you can be on floor 3 east and have bunk beds with up to 8 people in too small of a room.

Yea....and your roommates will be assholes and rude pricks. In 18 studies i've had approx. 65 different roommates. Of those 65, at least 50 fit your description. All it takes is one in your room and the study is shot. Unfortunately the a$$hole pr!cks are the norm not the exception. That's the case regardless of the clinic.

In all honesty...I'd rather be in the dorm rooms with bunk beds than the hospital. Because at least u have privacy in a dorm...especially with the bottom bunks. The hospital is one big room and everybody that walks by your bed is staring you down. If the tiny rooms with 8 people in bunk beds is the "good" part of PPDs housing then I will never even consider returning to that clinic.

Spaulding has bunks in the east building, just ed this year. The rooms are different sizes and have anywhere from 1-4 bunks for 2-8 people in each room. They won't tell you at screening which section you'll be in.

Better than World Wide. They have a massive room filled with crappy bunk beds that feel as if they're about to fall apart-- not to mention hardly any space for your belongings. They do have smaller rooms, with hospital beds, that accommodate four with it's own private bathroom but you're lucky if you get that.

It's mind numbing at times. It's cold, people are to lazy to lifted the toilet seat before taking a leak so that's always a nice thing to come into when the study drug has you dealing with uncontrollable diarrhea and you're literally running for the toilet. Same guys who don't lift the seat, don't flush after taking a dump, that's great, then of course IF THEY WASH THEIR HANDS, they leave puddles all over the sink like f-ing children rather than being grown men and simply wiping it up. OH and don't start me with the hipster douche bags streaming in, or the know it all who actually says things like "Listen to me, I'm not done talking" the non bathers, the dirty socks wears, the loud mouths, the whiners, the women who think they deserve special treatment, the showers full of semen from d-heads who can't control themselves leaving nice loads in the showers for you to find and you can smell it by the end of the day in there it's ****ing gross, or for the ladies showers the lesbian couple who go in there and make love like it's a hotel and F everyone who'd like to shower in peace. Same faces, day after day, same food, same scenery week after week, year after year. Then there's that point, it's at 3 weeks, but you see it building at day 15, where people are starting to crack and by day 23 people are snappy and acting petty as hell, fighting talking ****, making life even harder than it already is. This is EVERY CRU, EVERY STUDY THERE IS NO DREAM SPOT WHERE LIFE IS BETTER INSIDE THAN OUT, IT SUCKS AND ONCE YOU ARE A TRUE LAB RAT, IT'S A ***** TRYING TO GET OUT, YOU BECOME UNEMPLOYABLE AND HAVE TRACK MARKS PERMANENTLY SCARRING YOUR ARMS.
That's study life, that's the truth of it.

I put Vaseline on them and rub them the nurses say that breaks the bruise down or soing like that. Its disgusting though with the guys that masturbate while being locked in studies. In a previous one i did the other girls told me that a guy kept walking by our shower to get a peek. I have also heard that there are Pedophiles that get into Studies. Really disgusting.
