Hello!
I need help fixing a mistake I made. During the phone interview, when asked about asthma, I said I may have had athletically induced asthma as a child, but it was never an issue. I was told that alone disqualified me from ever doing a study at PPD. Thinking I had made a mistake, I obtained my entire medical history, and there was no mention of the word asthma anywhere, ever. I sent my medical records to PPD for review to prove that I never had asthma, and they still disqualified me because I had a "respiratory infection" in high school. Is that a legitimate disqualification? I am extremely healthy now, do not have any problems, all my labs are perfect, I workout and eat well etc.
Is there any saving this?
Thanks!

years ago when I was a newbie, I told the complete truth about everything: dumb, dumb, dumb! I was therefore similarly banned at the large clinic closest to me (not PPD).
I have tried for years to overcome this ban. in spite of the fact that I have done numerous studies up and down the East coast, plus a few in AZ and CA, I have never been able to persuade them to let me screen again.
so you may just have to suck it up. I HOPE that is not the case, but it may be. be sure to practice selective memory re your childhood medical history when you go to screen at other clinics!!!!
in my case, i simply do not believe that soing minor ( a mild case of POSSIBLE hives) that happened to me 60 years ago has any bearing on the drugs i test, and my experiences have borne this out. someone else might have completely forgotten this experience anyway...too bad i did not.
you can try sending a polite letter to the director of the clinic, but imo it does not sound as if there can be a favorable outcome.
anyway i will hope for the best for you!

Thank you for the response! I'll try the letter and go from there.
Thanks again!

years ago when I was a newbie, I told the complete truth about everything The truth hurts. If we can't test you for it, we don't want to know about it. I am a deceitful recruiter.
