BBB pages for businesses allow "consumer reviews," which I doubt the BBB even reads. Spaulding, for example, has an A+ rating with the BBB, but as only one (very negative) consumer review has been left--by a study volunteer, not a "consumer"--they have a 100% negative consumer review rating. That rating is not even viewable unless you click on the A+ however, and as Spaulding is listed as having zero complaints against them, it obviously doesn't count as one. Leaving reviews like this is not "complaining to the BBB" in the usual, or in any meaningful, sense.
So if you want to give clinics some almost invisible negative publicity, sure, ignore that you aren't a clinic's "consumer" in your role as a volunteer and leave a review there. But all references to making complaints to the BBB that I've seen on this forum imply the BBB might take an interest in advocating for you against the clinics. Nope.
I love explaining the obvious...

What do you actually think the clinic did that violated the terms of the consent? Are you able to state that concisely? Was your letter to the IRB as nuts as your first post in this thread? Did you tell them how awesome you are 50 times?
And people, the Better Business Bureau, a private organization mediating disputes between merchants & customers (& without much influence when the merchant isn't a paying BBB member), has no relevance to these situations at all. Please stop wasting people's time by telling them to go crying to the BBB.

PAREXEL Baltimore will have VCT with finger print scanners at Screening and Admissions starting January 2017 If you look at this person's past posts, you'll see they've been claiming Parexel is about to embrace VCT since 2014.

Great ad for VCT. I promise you they show things like this to prospective clients.
Things like this should be done on password-protected forums. They're free & easy to set up.
This is a VCT-sponsored forum. Do you realize that?
You people are idiots. Just looking at this forum for ten seconds is as draining as being in a clinic for a week.

VCT doesn't use fingerprint verification. Ignore this ignorant person. If he actually took the time to check, you can visit the VCT website where they say OVER and OVER and OVER again that they have introduced fingerprint scanning to thwart double enrollment. Once again, a person ignorantly misinforming others. I see they did announce--only about ten days ago--that they've added fingerprint verification to their available services. But are any clients actually using it? They also still say their service is entirely web-based, involving neither hardware nor software. That precludes fingerprint verification. In general: their website says a lot of things. But I've been through the verification process plenty of times & never seen fingerprint verification used. Maybe it will be soon.

It seems has moved away from Clinical RSVP and now does fingerprint VCT verification. VCT doesn't use fingerprint verification.

Can someone confirm if Covance is using vct? The person who started this rumor posts nothing but misinformation & hysteria on this forum. I don't know why there's no pushback. Anyway, ignore him.

Did you contact the IRB directly? If so, & they ignored you, that is pretty damning of them.

Interesting.
Did anything come of your complaint against this clinic, with the IRB or whomever?

Are they typically averse to non-locals, or is it only for this long study?
