This place is by far the worst. Yes you leave with a check and have a good view of the harbor, but that's the only good part. For me, it was a 2 day screening, because they hooked us up to a heart monitor after the labs and physical were done, we had to return (or stay overnight if we wanted) 24 hours later to hand back in the device. Facility is an older hospital, needs renovation. There are not a lot of showers and 2 had Black Mildew or Mold in them, and a big ROACH in the bathroom. Housekeepers are sub par and lazy, always a line of dirt and dust. I was sneezing a lot there. You can't bring usb phone chargers which most smart phones use to plug into the ac adapter for the wall. Instead you have to go to the lab where they have a hub setup and sit there with your phone unless you wan't to risk it being stolen. They have a SMALL cafeteria and always cramped in. Served us the SAME 4 meals for dinner and the the SAME 4 for lunch. They served us enough food, but very very bland. After the 2nd week, I could barley swallow that stuff. The nurses and techs were very unprofessional, cursed and talked on their cell phones while in the room, there were only a few civil ones around. We NEVER seen a doctor during the study, not even during dosing, and they NEVER updated us about the drug or asked us questions other than the informed consent packet. NO Pool table, No video games, NO visitations allowed, and slow wi-fi. Also, fyi....do NOT stay at the Motel 6 on Bloomfield Ave, it was terrible, I heard the one on North ave is a lot better. I ended up forking out the dough for Holiday inn express. There is a hostel, I heard its pretty decent. As far as exploring the city...only a part of the city is nice near the Landmark Theater Harbor East (645 s president st) otherwise Baltimore is run down and there is a backwards feel to the place... like a country ghetto??....and this is coming from a black guy who is from the streets of Chicago. Also the TAXI drivers NEVER knew where anything was at.....and only 1 had a gps system, I had to get out of 4 different taxi's, so be sure to have exact address of everything and use your own phone's gps. Anyhow, im sure im forgetting things, but beware...only if I was desperate would I return back to Parexel, otherwise GO elsewhere!
