Rumors are swirling that Covance Madison is going radiolabel ONLY and are laying off about half their Madison staff. The staff got their notices this past Monday.

I know I asked elsewhere, but wanted to ask again if you know when it will become radiolabel only. As you or someone else noted, they did enough of RL studies there already. I found it annoying enough as it was, because apparently all restrooms got locked whenever any group had restrictions. I tend to drink more water when I don't need to get assistance to use the restroom. I think it may have been Vark who offered the sage wisdom about the locked restrooms not being very practical for medications that encourage diarrhea.

Yeah I tend to drink a LOT less water too when I've been at Covance simply because I don't like having to hunt down staff to use my bathroom. I like the bathroom set up at Spaulding much better. Well, in the Silverbrook building, not Ridge. I always deal with constipation at Covance because of how its set up. What I've heard is that radio label only will likely start in the fall.

I'll be living in my van down by the river while I look for a real job. Of course, I've kept all my old consent forms. That way I can track down all my old P.I.'s (prinicpal investigators) and keep them updated on my latest hemorrhoid. Who knows? Maybe I can scam a couple of paid OPVs out of it.

Seems to be the case as i haven't seen regular studies on the website for some time now. It's gonna be a bummer with just radio labeled studies. To bad about the staff...some good friendly folks (staff and participants) up there will be missed for sure...so will that pong table. I may have to change my username to idoitforthemoney now!
p.s.: just to clarify i have no knowledge or reason to believe that the ping pong table is leaving...just saying i probably wont be up there much if at all...which leaves a big hole in the table tennis talent pool there...but i digress

while i'm here Covance can you please cool it with all the birth control requirements?! We are near broke *** lab rats not looking to bring a tiny expensive human into the world okay! And if we did screw up and not throw spermicide on our condom while having sex with a women with a diaphragm (or what ever BC we make up in our heads) we will probably look for quick way to abort it with out even telling you. So yeah cool it with the questions on that please.

When I was there, their fooseball table had a guy missing. If I go back, I think I will one from Amazon and donate it. I hope Lynn didnt get let go, she was one of the kindess nurses Ive met in any of these places. The radio label only news was quite a bummer for me. Even if a person wanted to do one, they have a ban for a time after you do them, and it sometimes crosses over into certain non-radio label studies as well. I didnt even enjoy my regular study there as much due to the radio label ones concurrently going on, because I'm not overly keen on having to find someone to unlock the restroom each time I have to go. It can get even worse if the drug causes intestinal distress. Why couldnt they do the radio labels in Dallas where more of the degenerates go?!?

I hear you. I am post menopausal and my partner has had a vasectomy and then they want to know what type of birth control do you use. Do I need to have my uterus removed! !!! I know they need to be careful but it can get crazy.

Yeah phone screening with covance is such a chore overall. Especially if you have some past health issues and they have refer you over to a dr first before they call you back in two days with a answer if you can even screen. you just call up and it's like okay when do you want to screen? It almost startles me like...don't you have to ask me 24 questions?! no, okay cool pencil me in!
ALSO, now that labcorp has bought covance how about some using that partner ship to help ease the travel burden for OPVs? Labcorp has multiple locations scattered across the Milwaukee and Chicagoland area, among other places, why not allow us to do our return draws here? Train labcorp in taking vitals and asking us the obligatory "no questions" as well...can't be that hard and it would increase their participant pool. I'm saying no to a lot of their studies lately honestly ... why drive 2 hours for a blood draw when I live JUST 5 minute walk from a labcorp lap?
