did you have to have gout to participate in the Indiana study? why did the study pay so much ... were there a lot of side effects or was it just a looong study? curious!

jasper has a 4K gout study screening shortly, and i think a couple 3K. healthy volunteers to age 55.
one of the companies doing gout studies is ardea. they were recently sold to astra-zeneca for a billion dollars. the gout drug is their main product. they have a cancer drug, and probably some other assets and good staff, but this goes to show how one good drug can be worth a lot of money, so keep that in mind when the companies are offering you some $375 study.... personally, i get along just fine on the 3K studies, i don't have any luck finding $11K studies.
