thanks Vark. you have often provided the Forum with so many diverse articles.
for the most part, i believe the informed consent process to be nearly useless. many times i have asked questions to no avail. but oh well.

I would have a lot to say about this but for now, doesn't it seem as if the Covid vaccine is being pushed at the general public? Vaccines and other medications take decades to develop but the Covid vaccine was developed in much shorter time. It seems no more than a year in development even though I heard it was being developed before early 2020. Maybe. Yet it was probably pushed to completion and the testing and bureaucratic red tape somehow shortened or cut by pharma companies and the government (actually probably other governments). There had been a good amount of "side effects" but the vaccine is still encouraged by the DOH or whatever other health authorities because it is at least some 98% effective or supposedly so. In NY where I am from, there are people coming up to commuters coming out of train stations offering to sign them up for Covid shots if the commuter(s) had not already had the shot. I was approached by one of these "COvid vaccine promoters" and it was as if someone were trying to get me to immediately and impulsively sign up for a Cell phone plan. I suppose these "promoters' are just doing what they get paid to do. Who knows if eventually we may find out that they have to fill quotas and get a commission for every person who signs up? Also in NY (and I guess in other cities) there are tents set up in transportation hubs or terminals like Grand Central where there are signs stating that people who are un-vaccinated can go into a tent to get vaccinated and get a free metro-card good for travel on the subway.
In this case it can be said that the general public are the guinea pigs for the Covid vaccine. But, haven't a lot of people been "saved" from Covid by getting vaccinated? Hasn't the spread of Covid been curtailed greatly because people had been vaccinated? But how can that be determined or quantified since it cannot be calculated how many people did NOT get sick or die from Covid because of the vaccine? In the future maybe a better vaccine will be invented because of what scientists learned due to people getting heart inflammation or Guillian Barre syndrome.
Ethics sound good on paper but as happens with animals in nature and a lion eats because a zebra dies, one person's death or illness is part of a lesson in what will prevent death or illness in others.
