I recently completed a Study and received $4,855 for my participation. The Study is still and the clinic is actively recruiting however now the pay has increased by $2,000 to $6,855. My question is whether or not previous study participants are entitled to receive the additional $2,000.

A little about me: I am just getting started in clinical trials . Became unemployed and was doing small outpatient studies until someone told me about Covance and it has ed up a new world of making money.
So I am trying to do more inpatient studies and am hoping to do even more next year.

I saw somewhere that they are doing covid Testing and that is the reason for the increase, they are paying to get the test wondering if it is the swab test or the antibodies test. I'M NOT SURE JUST SPECULATING! !

I am not sure if the increase is due to Covid 19 and believe the increase is probably due to difficulty filling the study.
A few years ago I was in a study and unexpectedly received extra pay. I was told that the payment was increased because the clinic was having a hard time recruiting subjects. I am wondering if this is a rule/law that must be followed, meaning that if the stipend for a study is increased, then all previous, current and future participants are entitled to receive the increase as well.

You could call the clinic and ask about the pay difference but if study completed I doubt they will pay you any more money. Either they are having trouble filling study or they have increases study paramiters as in more study drug or more procedures. I did a study at Covance and they increased stipend when we checked in and we were all happy but they also increased blood draws so there is always a reason.
