This COPD study I'm looking to get into said that we have to bring a stool sample in. Is this a thing? What would they be testing it for?

well yes it "is a thing" unfortunaltly lol...sure it can be a bit stinky and kind of akward but not really a big deal in the scheme of things. usually they pay a bit more (or should) for the icky factor. One sample wouldn't not deter me but the radioactive tracer studis (drawing a blank on the common name here) I tent to avoid since that requires more samples and locking of bathrooms etc...plus the not knowing how long your gonna be there is a pain in the ***.

I was in a 39 day study April and May 2021 and there was a group in the facility that seemed to have to be secluded in a different area of the place and had to be constantly monitored and escorted to go to the bathroom whether for urine or feces collection. I don't think that group was staying as long as mine but it seemed there were lots of days they did not have regular access to the bathrooms. I think different groups in a row came in for that study.
