I saw a posting saying they were planning to start using patient verification from mid last year. Has anyone been to one of their trials recently to confirm?

Check in is the viable option for VCT as it would increase screening cost and slow down an already inefficient and time intensive 5 hour process!

The only verification I know about is needing a California ID. If you dont have one, you're SOL and none of this conjecture matters. Respect, are you a Cali guy?

Yes. It is confirmed that Parexel is now using Verification, and have stopped many from doing multiple studies. They may let you go through the agonizing 5 hour screening process, and even let you drive there and go through a second screening if it is required, and will even call to tell you your results passed, then will call you the day before check in to tell you that you are disqualified, because of Verification in another study, and not meeting the wash out period.

I don't know whether this clinic is using VCT, but this person has no idea how VCT works.

Correction, yes this user does have an idea how VCT works, and they stated it correctly. Yes Parexel does use VCT. They will let you screen, and they will even let you go thru a 2nd screening if needed, they will also call you and tell you all your results are good, and give a check in day and time, but when they call to confirm the day before check in, they will tell you that you have been disqualified because of verification in another study. Further more, they will disqualify you, and ban you from their database, which means they will deactivate your profile, for 6 months to a year, depending on who you talk to. It is dependent on the wash out period of the study you are trying to get into. Their board of directors has to review your profile, and it is up to them how long they ban you for. VCT is Verified Clinical Trial. You can go to their website. There is the master database of verification of all studies you have participated in, that is private information. It is verified by fingerprint and or social security number. Running a VCT check on the participants is one of the last steps Parexel does. They also ask you to verbally verify it over the phone, and it is also in their paperwork.
