Checking in for the final two days of a study tomorrow, currently drinking a Coors Banquet (very watered down beer). I don't think it'll be a problem, but I am going against protocol.
Anyone ever do this?

very bad idea. you can't undrink that beer but don't make it a habit. it could get you banned from a site..

i have known a few persons who had "just one" of whatever and were subsequently rejected from some very high-paying studies.
anyone else out there thinking of having a beer or whatever, for heaven's sake, wait till you are done to celebrate.
yeah, you may have gotten away with it before but maybe the tests for that study were not as sensitive. different sponsors have different criteria.
what is the point of spending time screening, waiting to see if you passed, getting ready, and then possibly throwing it all away?
makes no sense to me.

oh, i see i mis-read your comment and you are in the final 2 days. still, what vark says is true .... if their tests are sensitive enough, you could get banned for future studies.
clinics like Parexel and ban (for life) volunteers for the slightest reasons. why risk it?

Anyone ever do this? In two days, the alcohol will probably be gone from your system. The risk is that alcohol elevates your liver enzymes. That alone won't prove that you were you drinking; Tylenol does the same thing to your liver; but it will look like you ingested soing "toxic" that your liver had to process.

yes, antecubital's post is a much better explanation!
sometimes we just don't know what values they are going to look at and how picky they will be. some clinics are VEEEEERY picky and suspicious.
so bottom line for me, is why take unnecessary risks?

I wouldn't do it again. Thankfully, it was completely out my system. Study is over, thank goodness.
