I have not been able to get into a study because a couple times I been told my ALT level is a little high. Has anyone ever had this problem ? If so how does one lower it.

Don't drink alcohol or take pain pills. Take the full 30 days between doses for your body to recover. A healthy diet can help as well.

For me it has been my creatine and glucose so I really watch my diet and don't take any vitamins or anything at all for that matter especially alcohol and caffeine. I also don't exercise for two days before screening so that my creatine isn't high. When they say fast at least 8-9 hrs I fast for 12 hrs and usually eat a piece of red meat a day or two before screening just to make sure my RBC 's are good.
I would rather be safe that sorry. I am not sure exactly about the ALT but if it in dealing with liver function for sure no alcohol .
Your best bet is to google what can caused raised ALT to make sure your doing all u can to lower it.

I have a friend who screened recently and I hope she gets in. Hoping to get some input on how the facility is run. I want to go up next year since they seem to pay well. She did say that she had to wear a Holter Monitor for 24 hours for screening. Looking forward to branching out next year. My first couple of long studies I was not enjoying dosing day but I have gotten more tolerant to blood draws. Wishing you many more studies in the future.

Regarding elevated ALT, I had the same experience since end of July. I did everything the same but for some unknown reason, my ALT gradually went up and the highest was 130, I think. I googled it and did everything I could, added turmeric and ginger to my tea, drank dandelion root tea, even did quite a few "coffee enema" (it was not as bad as most people think). Now it's November, my number is finally back to normal. Still a mystery about why it was elevated.
