I hope I'm writing this in the correct section. Parexel in Baltimore is the worst and most unorganized place I have been to. For starters they don't give out the correct information on trails then they get mad when you are there to test and find out the information is incorrect and you don't want to screen . I went on March 3 , 2017 after a 8 hour fast and six hour drive . I was very upset to find out the appointment took 6 plus hours instead of the 2 and half hours I was told via phone. At the appointment I was told I had to give a stool sample no problem expect I had not eaten anything due to the 8hr fast . My appointment along with others was at 8am , why do they give ppl the same time frame? At 8am it was 10hrs that I had not eaten , The guy at the check in was a total *** . He was so diespectful and nasty I could tell that this was his normal. Part way through the screening I find out the dates has changed for the study and I had to give a stool sample . One of the staff stated after I gave my blood I could eat . Well I wanted to get everything complete so me and the two other ppl I came with could get soing to eat and try to do number 2. I let the guy at the desk know I was leaving but I would be back to drop off my stool sample. He looks at me and says you didn't even get your physical and you didn't give a stool sample. I told him that everything was complete except giving the sample which is why I was leaving to eat to produce a sample. He tries to give me hell telling me I needed to be back within an hour and that no one was going to stay around and wait on me. It took all I had not go off on him he was raising his voice and walking off while I'm trying to explain to him what I was doing. I spent over 7 hrs at this unorganized place. I had to tell one of the staff that they could not keep trying to get an BP out the same arm over and over. I had a staff ask me which way do my veins run before they started drawing blood and as a Nurse myself I was terrified at the level of unprofessional ppl at this place. Please don't go there if you value professional attitude and being treated like a adult then don't waist your time or possibly get hurt dealing with these company. This company and location needs new management they need someone there to watch them on a regular basis.

Always expect the unexpected. I always pack snacks and food in my bag . Last time I was there. J. who was probably the person at the desk doesnt mean any harm he deals with people always leaving. Try a different study.

this is an accurate description of parexel. record your calls with them, and do not reply on what they tell you. when you get to a screening, feel free to haggle for a better study. it's very fluid. if you catch them in a lie, report it to the irb. won't accomplish much, but if we can document that it's a pattern they might make changes. or not. they are notorious for almost killing 6 people in a study in europe. so you'd think they would at least make sure they are doing screenings right. if they are still doing it, you can walk-in on fridays and see what they have.

Sorry about your experience. I'm guessing this was for the study for $12,000?

I'm wondering how long are they going to take to pay for screening. The last screening I did it took only days which was great . You should not have to wait for your money after you did your part.
