I stopped in to HR block to get a quote on my taxes (at least $300 by the way...think i'll go to the community college for the free prep regardless of lines thank you) i was told there that i should have been filing Wisconsin non-residence taxes in addition to money earned in my state...so 2 state filings and one federal. I have just been paying my home state for the last three years even as i earned sizable income in Wisconsin trials...and so far no issue from the IRS. but block lady insisted i do as they may see this at some point.
Just curious what the super traveling rats out there do, file in all the states they travel too? seems a bit too much...any ways to work around that?

EDIT: After a bit of consideration, I figured I should wait for a more narrowly defined reply to the OP's question before I added whay I said. I'm interested by this question as well.

Why was this helpful information removed?! I was very excited about never having to pay income taxes again, because of soing an "educated constitutionalist" lab rat said!

I stated in plain english why it was removed, and will gladly replace it once the OP has their answer(s). Because of your clownery and mentioning it elsewhere, I didnt want to risk the thread being hijacked. It looks like despite my attempts, you did anyhow. Congrats. If you want far more details(and entertainment as well), feel free to check out Aaron Russo's magnum opus, America: Freedom To Fascism. www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6ayb02bwp0

Just curious what the super traveling rats out there do, file in all the states they travel too? seems a bit too much...any ways to work around that? I file my taxes at H&R Block every year. But a likely major difference from your H&R Block experience is that I file with the same accountant every year and he has been there for more than 30 years and is highly qualified. He only files with my home state and has never filed non-residence taxes with the states in which I do studies. I have a high level of trust in his knowledge and understanding of all things taxes and accounting and based on that I believe you are also filing properly by only filing with your home state.
