It is an assault on our community. We are no longer allowed to inbox each other. They have finally crossed the line! Thanks for shining the Bat Signal(tm) in the sky. This is interesting, to say the least. Do you really think they'd be such ingrates as to bite the hand that feeds them? Study participants may start thinking about future alternatives when anything is no longer to their liking. That seems like a reasonable course of action for life in general. In defense of Kerri, I actually Respect her for being more transparent than Paul. Yes, Paul had a loveable costume and posted once or twice a year/used to make videos in the olden days of studies, but at least Kerri replied and was honest when Franz found opportunity to use his powers for good and expose the subterfuge. There are a number of perspectives to look at this from. I do agree with your sentiment that like with our government, it's better to be prepared for as many outcomes as possible. Of course, we may also want to re-evaluate just how much use anything was for anyone who is past the "newborn" stage other than on occasion. As someone hinted at awhile back, I was sometimes posting out of amusement, and "wrongfully"(lol?) wishing the board was not dead. I enjoyed what little sense of "community" we had, and was trying to cultivate it, which seemed to be a losing battle. Franz actually mentioned one possibility, which is certainly worth considering. I wish some of the lurkers I've long bemoaned would weigh in. Sadly a lot of participants just take whatever is given to them, including stagnant or even lower payouts, new DNA collection practices without any compensation, etc, and the powers that be likely see us as expendable...although these clinics jokingly seem to pretend that they care what we think about them and the screening process with these questionnaires they hand out. Collective effort may be the only way to make our voices heard, as seems to be the case in many industries. I think they prefer us to be out for ourselves rather than encouraging any sense of community, for that reason, among others. If actors can have guilds for things as important as entertainment, why shouldnt people who risk their wellbeing to line the pockets of big pharma?
