Hmmm... I have been here once.
-100 alternates
-100 people in the study
lucky for me, 47 people dropped out and i got in the study last minute. (i was an alternate)
So yea, they also get way too many alternates
Perhaps the nature of the study you were in required wake up to be at 3 30am. My wakeup was at 730.
The study i did with them did not even let you go to your bed, we had an enourmous amount of blood draws, the first day was a draw every 30 minutes until about 8pm
The internet does suck, partially because the internet is connecting 100+ people at a time. Most household routers can hold a connection of about 6-10 devices playing videos or around 30 for surfing the web. Most clinics that i have been to that have 50+ participants have internet problems for that very reason, too many people connected to a single wifi router. (They are too cheap to purchase another $300 router and ethernet cord to the modem for multiple wifi connections)
the space is tight with 1 main room, several bunk rooms, like 2 couches and 1 tv. On the bright side, they had a pool table and let people step outside every 2 hours for 10 minutes or so.
I only live about 1 1/2 hours away from here, so its not bad of a drive and i would recommend a weekend study with them if you live nearby. (as long as you can handle needles, like, lots of needles)
I have not done a long-term study with them, but if i had to stay there for more than a week with that internet service i would go crazy.
