There had been times in which I had to go to a doctor because I was not feeling well.
I have told different doctors that I participate in clinical trials and am reluctant to take pain or any kind of common medications such as ibuprofen, , Advil, Extra Strength Tylenol etc.
One doctor told me that Advil cannot be detected in a drug test.
I have heard that certain studies require applicant volunteers not to take grapefruit and poppy seeds and mustard greens and collard greens etc.
I have searched the internet and find contradictory information.
I have read a post from a phlobotamist on "Yahoo! Answers" that drug tests cannot merely "find" Advil, or certain medications, and that the way that drug tests work is that they specifically have to be trying to target soing like Advil so as to find it; and that he had never heard of anything about grapefruit showing up in drug tests, so he assumes it is a myth, and he said that it is a myth that poppy seeds will result in false positive drug test because a person has to have been eating lots of poppy seeds daily for a very long time to get a positive result from a drug test . (Of course when it comes to "Yahoo! Answers" I have come to realize that a lot of people provide answers that you cannot trust even if it comes from certain "experts" and I think that it is wise not to take a chance when it comes to poppy seeds and grapefruit).
Also I have read that mustard greens and collard greens are not detectable by a drug test at all but volunteers are not to consume such foods before a drug test.
I obey the restrictions, but I wonder about the different information.
If certain healthy foods such as kale and collard greens and mustard greens cannot be detected in a drug test, can vitamins and supplements and echinacea and vitamin D etc.
It seems that a lot of the banned vitamins, supplements, medications etc cannot be detected ( at least as long as you had not taken them a few minutes prior to a drug test) but the clinics tell you not to consume them because they might interfere with the study drug .
I also wonder if caffeine is detectable by a drug test.
I know that nie is.
Maybe it is all detectable but it can depend on how long before the drug test you had used such them.
Anyone have true information about actual "detect-ability" of the commonly banned products?
Anyone have true information about how long a Seville orange will stay in your system?
H ow about grapefruit?
