Everyone has their ways to pass the time.
I love to play cribbage when I can find anyone who plays. When I can't find someone to play with, I'll shoot some pool, read quite a bit and of course browse the web.

Definitely Internet. But I also really enjoy chit chatting with my roommates... well... if they are decent and not annoying.

Scar Tissue, I don't know you entirely; but I think it is awful that you say you "Use your spare time in clinical trials" by "flirting with pretty nurses and tecs."
I have very often have experienced nurses getting into a flirty or jokey conversation with a flirty volunteer (and in this case I am talking about female nurses and male volunteers) while that nurse is sticking a needle in my arm and her head is turned away from what she is doing so she can talk with the volunteer.
I have contacted the management when such things happen.
It is actually inappropriate that volunteers should have such interactions with research staff. It creates all kinds of problems. A "flirty" interaction can be disastrous when a research staff person has to discipline a misbehaving volunteer and perhaps feels that since s/he is on "amorous" terms with the volunteer, will let the volunteer get away with doing what all volunteers should not be doing. It could lead to "favoritism" and if a "flirty" volunteer starts a fight with another volunteer then the staff member might side with the person who should be ousted ( and volunteers who misbehave enough to "flirt" with staff would be diuptive enough to disobey other rules of conduct).
It just should not be done. There are always other people in your life that you can do that with. Keep professional interactions professional. You will affect other people by being a jerk.
Also it constitutes sexual harassment and if you pick on the wrong nurse, or tech or maybe other volunteer, you can get in trouble.

Sleeping and farting, but not in that . I think I know you, you're that guy who claims to be sleeping everytime he farts so you can't be held responsible...ooooh you are a clever one, no doubt, but my friend, a fart while sleeping smells just as bad as a waking fart and so I say, "Let Your Farts Float, For the Hot Air They Contain Can Do No Good When Bottled Up and May Euthanize a Boring Life if Set Free to do its Work" THE SURGEON GENERAL WARNS: Farting in your friends face may cause pink eye and should be avoided when possible.
