Just wondering if they have VCT here...i can't seem to find any talk of it in any of the other VCT focused forums.
Also, how much compensation is lost if you miss a OPV (if a 1 opv study)? Do they add a completion bonus or just drop $200 or so from your total stipend for missing the opv?
thanks

I signed no VCT forms. It could be study specific. I was docked 100 bucks for showing up a day late to an OPV.

I can confirm that they DONT use VCT as of todays date. Basically, I would NOT recommend traveling far to get this place. Screening is pain in the A because of the long process of reading all consents verbatim and the fact that you have to come again another day just for a two minute physical.
Another grip is they schedule a lot of backups (at least for mys study) and the pay for that is bad...only $75 while Covance pays a full days pay ($250) for being a backup. I guess that saves costs for PPD since they have so many backups.
Also if you do go for your first time make sure to have Your drivers license AND your social security card (hard copies) with you or they will not check you in. This is the first time i've encountered that among clinics i've traveled to.
Also, (to answer one of my own questions) the completion bonuses can be up to $750, so if you miss an opv your out the OPV pay itself and the 750...so best to do it or get a study with no OPVs.
On the upside if you don't qualify for a study they give out VIV cards to put you in the head of the pack for another study, and they are super huge so lots of studys and there's always the other clinics in Texas if you cant do PPD...this and the good pay for actually being in the study can make up for some of it's negatives.

Yeah I've said it before, PPD are kind of dicks in the screening process.
