Do most studies disallow devices with cameras? Can you sometimes get away with it anyways? What experience do you all have with this subject? Is there any way to get around the camera ban consistently without damaging your device?

The clinics decide if you can bring in camera-equipped tech; it's not per study.
Some don't allow it, but you can sometimes get away with it, depending on how observant or knowledgeable the person checking you in is. Some clinics let you bring camera-equipped tech in, but place tape over the cameras. Finally, others allow it.
I've been to four clinics. Two of the four allowed camera-equipped tech. One had a strict ban. One put tape over the cameras.
