Even with the unemployment down and good economy i know more people know that are unemployed then i did during the recession. I'm trying to get my unemployed friends that aren't fat, on meds or smokers do do studies but they think that their unemployment benefits would be at risk if they did studies. Is this possible? There is no way for the state to know your in a study and 1099s don't go out till next year so what's the worry?

When you collect UE benefits you have to do a weekly claim certification. You have to declare income from any source. Failure to do so is called Unemployment Benefits Fraud. People have gone to jail for this. Not worth the risk.

You may have to travel further than you'd like, but you can always find a study. We aren't employed by any clinic therefore we can't become unemployed by a clinic. We are self employed. That comes with some advantages but being able to collect unemployment benefits isn't one of them.
