I've never heard of tattoos being a issue or ever remember screeners ever asking about one until recently at quintiles. I was about to schedule one but i fear that it may impede my study since they asked when i last had a tattoo over phone. Is there a time period they give you where its ok? I'm guessing a fresh visible tat would get your called out but healed i don't see how they could judge that. any thoughts?

3 months wait after a tattoo to do a study. I heard this from quintiles staff. Not sure if that's to does or screening. No word on any other clinics that care about tats...please chime in if you know

i used to donate plasma in AZ and the blood donation centers are very particular about the whole tattoo thing.
for regular studies, i have been asked at screenings a number of times now. i guess the concern is over whether one's blood has been contaminated (hepatitis, etc.) during the tattoo process.
for a professional lab rat, it may be a consideration .... maybe postpone new ink for a while ... just a thought.
