Just recently got a braces. Very sore but I can manage. I would like to do a study but eating is very much a hassle and soing I need to take my time with. I'm worried that this might be too much of an issue. I was wondering if anyone here has ever done a study with them on. Was it just like doing a regular study except having to eat much slowly and picking out what's appropriate to eat( no hard food)? Recommend it? Do you know if they discriminate against people who wear them?
Obviously if the study requires ALL the food to be eaten, then doing the study would be a no-go. I'm just wondering if my years of being lab rat are coming to a close and if I'll have to start looking for a regular job. Thanks all.

Most, if not all, studies require that you eat your food in a specific amount of time. Many times, they'll require you eat all of it. If you don't feel comfortable doing either, it's best to sit out until you are or work very hard at cherry-picking which studies you go through with.

Mainly because my teeth hurt like hell when I initially got them and I could barely eat anything. Front teeth are still sensitive, can't bite into anything but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

I understand. Went through the same thing when I had braces.
