So I must have filled out soing online a while ago and got on their call list, they robot called me today and when I called them back they offered me a study that was in clinic for 22 days and offered $4331, it was for a drug to treat fatty liver disease, it is injected into the abdomen. I asked the recruiter how many blood draws, she put me on hold for several long minutes then came back and said they take 220mL, and 8-13 draws during the study including screening.
I think they were fairly desperate to fill the study, she said the first group was starting in 2 days on the 12th, so I would have to screen tomorrow.
Because what she told me about the blood draws does not jive (the number of draws sounds low for the length of the study and amount of blood she is talking about), the drug sounds weird-soing I don't know anything about and might be some kind of experimental?, the study would have me in clinic during Thanksgiving, and most of all the pay is substandard, I told her no thank you, and explained to her that most studies like this should pay more like at least $250 a day, not under $200.
They only have the clinic in Chula Vista, so maybe some other Californians would be interested in it, you could get into the study very quickly.
