Thanks, for the update labrat1981!  I actually am considering this place for my next screening(or a backup to a PPD one I signed up for...may drive there from Austin[931 miles] right after screening, due to lack of other screening dates).


Can someone tell a new member what these Clincards are? Is it a Visa giftcard or soing?  Also, how long after a study does a participant receive them?


Also, do you mind explaining what the "tracked by computer" means(as opposed to), for us newer folks?     Thanks, I am grateful

Clincards are like Visa pre-paid cards. Your money is loaded onto it from the clinic when you checkout of the study, usually within a day or two. Covance is moving away from paper records and going 100% digital. What this means is, when you screen or check-in to a study, you are given a bracelet with a barcode on it. When you finish a procedure, the staff member will scan the barcode.

Clincard are the same as a prepaid Visa or MasterCard. Also used by Clinilabs in NYC in lieu of checks.

Thanks. It seems all these clinics are using clinic cards. Parexel, Medpace and WWCT use prepaid cards.
