Does anyone know if they are evacuating the clinic because of Hurricane Matthew? That entire area is going to be destroyed. I have never heard of a clinic being evacuated because of severe weather but they really need to in this case.

That would be EPIC, an act of God, the only thing powerful enough to stop the juggernaut of big pharma! It may be a tough battle, but I think God actually stands a chance of beating those *$@#&*s. I'm not sure if it's safe to say who I'm rooting for.

A little about me: I am just getting started in clinical trials . Became unemployed and was doing small outpatient studies until someone told me about Covance and it has ed up a new world of making money.
So I am trying to do more inpatient studies and am hoping to do even more next year.

I talked to a friend yesterday and she said they Covance Daytona closed Wednesday due to the hurricane and I guess they will re on Monday so I guess whoever was inpatient was sent home with pay. That would be nice.

Wow, Big Pharma(tm) even beat God!! You got us all hyped over nothing FG(I don't watch TV so I'm generally immune to this nonsense), I must say I'm disappointed. EDIT: I don't mean to sound insensitive to the very tiny entage of folks that this wasn't media hype to. My thoughts and prayers are with you, in the unlikely event any of you read this board. No thoughts and prayers wasted on big pharma though. They could actually afford to pay us far more for the criminally high profits they make from us and later on from taxpayer-funded insurance. I hope I can't be banned for being honest for a brief moment.

Well, I was concerned about the employees since they are the ones I interact with. I like all of the employees, except one, and they are always friendly and caring so I was hoping that they did not lose their houses and that Covance was standing so they would have jobs and I would have work. BUT the study I was suppose to be going to next week got "postponed" and of course Covance just said study postponed we don't know when or if it is coming back. Which I guess really means cancelled, right. Yeah so easy for them to say we are canceling but for us to cancel it would possibly be a penalty so I don't feel sorry for the drug company . Right now I am feeling sorry for me.

Right now I am feeling sorry for me. I also wish better for you. I just dislike big pharma, but not close to as much as the establishment media. Certain establishment politicians are trying to cash in on natural events with more schemes of taxing and over-regulation, and the media sells it to ignorant Americans. Yeah, I'm bitter and getting a bit off topic, but you wouldn't know that we're actually in a lul for hurricanes making landfall from this fearmongering establishment and their media puppets. Ok, I'll calm down and get back on topic. I still wish God had pulled off an upset and dethroned big pharma, so I suppose I'm sulking a bit. FG, I hope you find a study soon, regardless of weather and our pathetic puppet politicians/media 🙂 Hopefully I won't get banned for my rant or rooting for God against Big Pharma. Big Pharma doesn't own VCT/StudyScavenger, does it? PS Covance DB has a decent chance of being my next visit, so I didn't want the facility leveled or anyone to even break a sweat, but a safety evacuation and full payment of the participants would have been a great story to be posted on here. Even better than a snow day in school!

there's a clinic in knoxville that used to be in new orleans until the hurricane. Yeah I saw it listed. I am having a hard time finding a study in Florida and have thought about going there NOCRC? I wasn't sure how the facility is but I have a friend who lives three hours away. thinking that I am tired of waiting for a local , within Florida, study. I am losing money by the day . all the good studies seem to be in Wisconsin or what I call " up north" Thinking also maybe New Haven . Not sure since my main concern is safety and I gave not been out of state.
