No. Not impossible, but unlikely. Certainly not if you take a city bus to Greyhound. Show up much earlier, though, & if someone with an earlier appointment doesn't show up, you'll probably be given their place. The receptionist will be really rude to you for trying to do this, but it will probably work. A general warning about Medpace: they're liars. All clinics lie, but my God. Brace yourself. Thanks for that information! I'm really curious, what exactly does this place lie about? Thanks

The most important lie they'll tell you about their current studies is that if you're from out of town, they'll give you a nice hotel room between/before check-in's, and shuttle service from there to Medpace. The "hotel" is actually a dumpy motel in the next county, though, & sometimes you'll be told at the last minute that it isn't available--and half the time they'll tell you the shuttle isn't available, either. And if you can't make it to the clinic, they fine you $500. At least. They'll also conceal important information about procedures--such as the inclusion of skin biopsies--until you're at the screening, rather than telling you over the phone. You''ll have already spent money on travel etc, so at that point you'll be less likely to say no. I could go on all day. They're heinous. Worst blood draws of any of the 8 clinics I've been to, too. I never had scars until I'd been to Medpace, & the studies I've done there haven't even included many blood draws. They're paying well lately but they're the bottom of the barrel in terms of professionality. I also find some of the women who draw blood at the OPV's astonishingly rude. They'll actually try to start argumements witht volunteers they dislike so they can tattle on them later for talking back. Sounds weird, but I've seen it happen several times now. The people who work upstairs are much better. Beware those harpies you deal with at outpatients, though. Ha, I grinned at harpies! I honestly am shocked and pleased by your answer. I thought if you bothered to answer, it'd be the typical "axe to grind" literature we see over and over again, with terrible grammar, and complaints that aren't that big of a deal. Neither of those were the case with your reply, and you didn't stop at just one or 2 things. Your mention of employees starting a ruckus came across as genuine as well. Of course, I just realized a pretty decent amount better than usual, so maybe that has soing to do with it. lol Different things bother different folks at different levels, so it's helpful that you listed a good number of them. I certainly would like to avoid scarring, and it's troublesome if youve gotten it at one short study. The not telling about skin biopsies(or anything else) before a person travels there is soing that would bother me a great deal as well(the worst would be the spinal tap which not too long ago I became aware was part of some studies. Even when I was trying to convince myself the pain might be worth it, the possible side effects made me say no[explicitive] way!). Thanks again, posts like that are a large part of what makes this board valuable to me.

I met someone recently at a study did not get to ask too many questions about Medpace as the person was not dosed but they did say that there is a hotel being built right next door to Medpace so maybe they will hopefulky use that one in the future. The post about the food was disheartening since I would hope to at least have a nice salad and fresh fruit instead of carbs carbs carbs. That and the lousy blood draws will keep me looking elsewhere. So far I like Covance, check in is very through ( as far as labs ecg bp they are picky) and they always have many alternates so it is a little stressful but once u are dosed things are less stressful and the employees and food are great.

Unless the new hotel has a business relationship with Medpace, the volunteers will get themselves banned from that one too by behaving like trash. (That's what happened at the hotel used before the current one.)
There's nothing wrong with the food at Medpace & plenty of meals include a salad.

Do they care at Medpace if you eat everything or not? I'm only looking to go to clinics that are not picky about subjects eating everything with the exception of an occasional mandatory breakfast on dosing days. I don't even care if the food is good or bad or what the quantity is, as long as it isn't mandatory. I'm not going to starve and it's only temporary so just let me eat the part of the meal that I want and dump the rest. Those are the clinics I will be going to. Covance is a prime example.

Thanks I'm going to add your name to the single post list for your update. Being I put the date of the information on the list, when were you last there? I'm considering screening there soon myself, so is there anything at all you'd like to add about your experience(s) there? Thanks!

Everyone moves slow and doesn't know what's going on. It seemed very clean compared to places like Icon.

One new bit of info I can offer: They have 5 or 6 studies up on their site at the moment, but when i called today they said the had ZERO available. When I mentioned the website, they said it was outdated and that they would call me when soing was available.
