I always expect the end of the year, especially December to be a ghost town for studies - which it was, but then picks up in January. Has been completely dead for big overnight stay studies. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I was or am just starting to get a little bummed. Where are u? There are a few at Covance Daytona that I can not do. Actually Covance has a few studies at Evansville and Wisconsin. I am also looking for an overnight study and if out of state I need a higher paying one to help cover travel expenses. So I am hoping that it picks up but we may be in the minority as many volunteers have mastered how to always have a back up plan if one study does not come through. So I have been calling different clinics hoping to find soing for April.

I'm still thinking about this 25 night 1 O/P $9000 study at Parexel that I screened for in January. My labs were good but I did not make it because they had enough people. I keep thinking what if I took a cab from the Greyhound instead of waiting for the bus to get to Parexel, would that had made a difference. I think cohort 2 checked out last week.
I called Parexel and Frontage. No studies I qualify for at Paraxel right now and Frontage told me to call at the end of the week. I'm just finishing up a study at Biotrial, but that was pocket change $1000. Already gone. All of sudden Biotrial has 2 new studies. 9 nights for $1750 and another one for $2350. Since Biotrial has VCT, I'll probably have to check out some university / hospital studies. I'm about to do a local college joint for $330 (four 1 day visits.) Probably give John Hopkins / University of Maryland a call in a couple of days. What I really need is a big one.

I'm located in Washington DC. Trying to stay on the east coast but would travel for anything over 5k. Funny I ended up not getting into that 9k at Parexel after screening too. They must of overbooked more than usual, then did the $950 at Bio for the 3 day weekend. MrGuy, we were probably in the same room.
There's a screening tomorrow for a $5,050 at spaulding, Wisconsin. 15 night stay and a few outpatients. They don't use VCT but the RSVP shared mostly with . I can't make it, too far.

I was the very last participant in the very last group. Only 4 people in our room at the end of the hallway. But there was a super quiet guy who never said a single word to anyone, so maybe it was the same.

I was waiting over the weekend, hoping Monday or Tuesday would have new studies up, but nothing. It's been a long time since Ive seen a study Ive both liked AND qualified for. Big pharma cant have stopped or slowed down their endless parade of new toxins, can they?

I see a couple of studies I would like to do, but my bankroll is only good for local studies right now.
Celerion Nebraska has a 10 night / $3300 / 1 phone call study. If I had the funds I would def. try to go screen for that one.
But then again I would not qualify because I just finished a VCT study. I hear Frontage has one for $2900.

I wanna know what it feels like to have 13k in the bank again. It felt pretty good to see that number on that ATM slip. I don't care what ppl say, money DOES happiness. At least for me it does. I'm rooting for you man! It sounds like you have had(maybe still have) an uphill climb to get "qualifiable", unlike many on here, so it makes me want to see you succeed. I am not sure if money s happiness, but it sure can help facilitate it, at times, at least! I just got some good news today...really good, which I think will have me doing many more studies, instead of waiting for a rare big one. I'm really stoked, and I hope you reach your goals so you can feel stoked too. Keep picturing that 13k bank slip... I'm not sure how well the "law of attraction" works, but I have a good feeling it works if it's done correctly. Keep that focus bro, let it attract you more than the things that would hinder your progress. I know you can do it!

Thank you. I got my BMI down below 32, but I'm working to get it below 30 so I can qualify for every study. I haven't drank in 6 weeks or so and I have been eating healthy too. I'll be ready to do studies soon. I'm waiting for a big one to come along. But I have a question, I recently replaced my drivers license and decided to sign up to be an organ donor for the heck of it. Does that matter when I'm trying to sign up for studies? God forbid they tell me I can't do studies cause I signed up to be an organ donor. That would suck. I wouldn't think this would be an issue. Worst case scenario, you could likely rescind your organ donor status with the DMV. I'm guessing a number of study particpants(the kind that "cowboy" article was written about) might want to for ethical purposes anyhow, lol. Congrats on your good work! Changes like that dont always come easy for many folks. I wish you ongoing success.

A little about me: I am just getting started in clinical trials . Became unemployed and was doing small outpatient studies until someone told me about Covance and it has ed up a new world of making money.
So I am trying to do more inpatient studies and am hoping to do even more next year.

Thank you. I just get really paranoid thinking I'm gonna get banned for one reason or another. It stems from my hatred of menial labour and typical 9-5 jobs/interviews. I don't want to go back to that. I'd rather do med studies cause its easy money. I guess to be on the safe side I can call the DMV and make up some excuse saying that I didn't like the picture or I accidentally put down that I wanted to be an organ donor and want it rescinded/replaced. But the pickle is that we are going to Vegas at the end of May. If I don't receive the replacement license by then I might not get on the plane. lol. I'll just wait until we get back to replace it I guess. B/c it might look suspicious if I try to get another license so soon after I replaced it. I always do this stuff. It never fails. There is no peace in my life, im telling you. lol.

I am an organ donor, that should not matter at all And I also can not do the 9-5 BS job so wishing big studies for both of us. I have seen quite a few weight loss studies listed that u might qualify for.

I recently replaced my drivers license and decided to sign up to be an organ donor for the heck of it. Why do things for the heck of it?
