I heard from a couple people that PPD had changed their policies that you do not have to wait forever to do the physical anymore. Any truth to this? I havent screned at ppd in almost a year.

It's purely study dependent. If they're hurting for volunteers they might let you do the physical on the same day, but if they've got plenty of time don't count on it. You really shouldn't count on it in general.

How long does their screening process(first screen) at PPD generally take? I mean, I know we'd save 5 minutes for not having the Doctor's exam(lol), but was wondering if they might be more or less efficient than other places? Thanks

A little about me: I am just getting started in clinical trials . Became unemployed and was doing small outpatient studies until someone told me about Covance and it has ed up a new world of making money.
So I am trying to do more inpatient studies and am hoping to do even more next year.

Just saw in a previous post that the visits can be a week apart and I live far away so I guess probably not a good clinic for me to consider.

Here's the facts, as explained to me, by the Doctor conducting single visit screening, on the topic of single visit VS multi visit screenings at PPD.
It is soing she has been pushing for, personally. PPD is experimenting with it, on some studies only & generally you will be informed during phone screening that said study is a one part screening. They try to do everyone in the study the same way, but that's not assured, if soing happens and they can't do it same day SOL.

I am literally staring at my phone, passing time to write on here, waiting for PPD to call me. It's agonizing. Check in is on Tuesday morning and I have yet to receive a phone call about a physical. I called several days ago and the coordinator told me they are still waiting for labs. This study pays a decent amount so a lot of people screened. I guess. So I'm assuming the physical will be the day of check in? How does that even work? Has ppd done soing like this before?
