I've been out of the game for a while, and the last time I was doing studies at PPD, there were maybe a dozen studies available at a time. I just checked the website, though, and now there are only two.
Does anyone know what's up with that? Is PPD scaling back its operation? Is it just a slow time of year?
A few years ago in Austin, a person could screen for a bunch of studies at PPD, or at Cedra. Now PPD has only got a couple of studies, and Cedra is in San Antonio. If you want to do studies these days, is San Antonio the place to be?

Being in a different part of the country, I have noticed the same trend. Studies do go up and down, and right now things seem to be down, including a few facility closures. Not many studies + a down economy = a difficult time getting in.
Best wishes

Do you think that's the reason why? But the economy has slowly been getting better. We're now back to pre-disaster 2008 levels. Unemployment is at 7.5% currently. In 2009 it had hit 10.0%. Source: NY Times article, May 2013 The same thing seems to happening at Paraxel. A lot of crap being offered there.
