We are looking for healthy, fair skinned volunteers, ages 18 through 55, for participation in a clinical study to determine the ability of an investigational medication to cause skin irritation after oral use and followed by sun-like light exposure.
Participation will include: • Screening visits to determine eligibility • A small portion of the skin on your back will be exposed to ultra-violet rays to determine reaction of your skin to sunlight.
• If qualified, • Appmately 16 visits to TKL over a period of up to 38 days • 13 Consecutive visits to TKL’s Clinical Research Units in Paramus’s (CRU) Monday through Sunday.. • Must be at Clinic from early morning until early evening, appmately 14 hours for a total of 13 consecutive days. • Use of investigational oral medication, ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) or placebo daily for 6-10 days while at TKL’s CRU. • Blood will be drawn at specified time points while at TKL’s CRU. • Skin assessments. • Meals will be provided
You will not qualify for this study if you: • Smoke or use tobacco or nie in any form • Take any daily medications • Have any medical conditions or any allergies
