im still fairly new to this, and one question i have is generally how long should you wait between calling the same facility to see if they have any new studies available?
currently the studies at the facility id like to go to are too long (requiring a total of 15+ days in house) i just cant fit it in with my schedule would calling everyday be soing to do, even calling twice a day? thanks all

Depends on the clinic, many clinics typically only update their current studies about once a week, usually on Monday. But then conceivably a study can start recruiting at any time. I remember like at PPD, they would sometimes get a very attractive study like an 8 or 10 thousand dollar one, and you might have a five or ten minute window to get a screening appointment because there were so many people waiting to pounce on it.
Overall I think the best odds of getting into a screening is usually by calling Monday morning, as soon as the recruiters are answering the phones. But if I really need a study I will sometimes call a couple times a day.

there are three kinds of places.
the ones that list their studies online (or least on a recording you can call in to),
the ones where you have to call,
and the ones that list some of their studies online but other secret studies you have to call about, or they will call you, or whatever.
i rarely call more than once a week, but i hate phones. when i need a study, i'll check the online listings about every day. as mike said, there are some clinics where big money studies fill very fast, because there is a grapevine.
some places like new recruits, some places prefer to go with their long time repeaters.
