I should be screening soon.
I know enough to avoid poppy seeds, grapefruit, caffeine, etc.
I do not drink any alcoholic beverages ever.
(BTW the recruiter had not told me to avoid poppy seeds or grapefruit, she only indicated at caffeine. But I am taking the common precautions anyway).
Anyway, I heard from a friend that I ought to avoid foods like broccoli because it has high potassium. She told me that a friend of hers got skewed medical results because she ate too much potassium rich foods before the screening.
I only once was rejected from a study for high potassium values. It actually did not happen anytime before or since and I have done many studies.
What foods to avoid? I am aware of bananas and figs and of course broccoli for their high potassium values. What other foods would "skew" the medical results. What other "food nutrients" should I avoid? Calcium? Anti-dents? Fiber?
Screening is only about two days away. Unless it is cancelled.
What would be safest to eat in these few hours?
Any advice or information is appreciated.
