This clinic is trying to pass meds at any cost. If you get sick from the meds, you will be ceremoniously ushered out, paid only up to that day and ignored.
I recently participated in a study at this joke of a facility. Dr. Fein had no interest in my health. Her only concern was getting this medicine passed through. I was told I would not be allowed to ue because "it just isn't worth it", per Dr. Fein.
I will never do another study at this facility again. If you do, don't report side effects....you WILL NOT BE PAID.

Unfortunately that is the norm, if you have semi-serious side effects from the study medication, they will stop your further participation and pay you for time served.
Rarely, a clinic will pay participant(s) the entire study amount even though they were let go early, but that usually happens when people have serious side effects, as in soing that might rise to the level of lawsuit worthy or at least soing you could make a big stink about.
What do you expect? For them to keep you there and keep dosing you even though you are getting ill from the drug, or to pay you for days you aren't there? Every consent form tells you all the side effects that you could ever possibly experience.
That said, depending on your circumstances, it is possible for you to get more money out of them if you really ***** your head off and maybe make a few threats about going to a media source or a lawyer if the *****ing doesn't work. I have seen complaining work to get more money, it happened in a study I was in; people carped so much that everyone got several hundred dollars more.

I've seen this too. People don't report stuff for that reason. This is my main source of income and I rely on COMPLETION of studies I get in to. Why would we jeopardize things and tell them our side effects if they are going to boot us from the study and not pay us the full amount? We've got bills to pay too.

Yup, it's a not so subtle way for them to discourage people from being honest about all their side effects.

Ive only done one study there, it was great. However, on my next try, Ysis(spelling? The Spanish speaking lady)steered me into screening for a different study than what I initially wanted. It filled up. So I definitely would not trust her. The other recruiter Amber was pretty nice. Most of the staff were pretty cool.

Just reading this 2016, there is a female dr. At Covance Daytona Dr Fein wondering if this is the same dr. From High point must be. Wondering I guess if there is only one dosing day then if u get sick they must keep u. All the studies that I have done are single dose, post dosing people vomit and they don't kick them out so I guess do a one dose study. And I know that people don't always admit to side effects, afraid they will get booted. If I have mild symptoms I don't say anything and when I get discharged I always say I feel great, that is what they want to hear after all isn't it .

In my limited experience, I havent had any side effects, so I havent been faced with this issue. It's possible, as you say, that clinics may be more lenient on single dose studies being youve already weathered the storm(or most of it). I dont know, as much as I like money, we have to remember that this was just one place, and not necessarily call for us to be dishonest about the drugs whom consumers will have to endure if we contribute to them being approved. Also, the OP didnt say how sick they were, but I'm guessing it wasn't mild symptoms. I'd ask them, but that was their last post on here, made 3 years ago. I wonder what became of them? I hope that one clinic didnt cause them to quit. Actually, looking again, it was not only their last post, but their first also. I dont know about anyone else, but I tend to be leery of those a bit more. Then again, I suppose its quite possible it was true, and bitterness was the only thing capable of getting some people to register and post after a lifetime of leeching. Yes, I've hinted Ive wanted to make a thread about that after seeing 201 guests and 9 members in the last 24 hours(it's on the bottom of the main forum). Anyhow, not my intent to hijack this thread, but to get people to think about all possible angles when reading some of these(like the false "VCT" claims against various clinics). EDIT: Does a lurker or someone have soing they can add about this clinic? The only other discussion is an event from 3 years ago. About that event, I think he first place I had EKGs, I was semi-supine. It's possible the OP of that thread was as well. In my first fully supine study, my heart rate was almost too low!

I just got a call from High Point , I had mentioned an interest of their site and a recruiter called. He was very nice asked me some basic health questions and asked me if I had any questions . He said that they will be having a healthy study coming up within the next few months so I am thinking November and that he would put me on a call back list. So I felt good about the clinic so far but for me it will be the flying to get there. Will have to see if it is worth it. On another note so the Dr that New Member mentioned , Dr. Fein must be the one at Covance Daytona . I have had no problem with her. She is cordial not super friendly but professional. The last study I had a few side effects and she didn't kick me out, many people had side effects( headache, vomiting diarrhea) no one was let go. So it must depend on the study and the number of doses. So I must say that I really like Covance so far . Some of the posts about other clinics really is an eye er. It can be hard sharing a single bathroom with a bunch of people , dealing with unfriendly staff, not very good food etc. Covance DB is so well organized and I like that they have a security guard on duty . And I have been telling people who ask about clinical trials to cone to this site and make a profile and help yourself by helping others.

Does this place use VCT or any other tracking sites?
