I'm not one to complain about food but the food here is horrible. Balony sandwiches, sugary fruit juices and junk food basically. Not healthy and very cheap. It's clearly a step below other clinics in terms of the meals. Which is sad, because otherwise this new building is very nice and new, they just skimped out on the food budget. I will not return because of this and a few of my roomates agreed.

Never been here based on a few other peoples recommendations to stay away....I heard the staff was pretty bad too. Any other complaints besides the food?

i wouldn't describe the food here as horrible, just typically bad, similar to other clinics. no baloney sandwiches, but one of the guys is upset that they sneak pork products into a bunch of the meals. i end up throwing away about half the meal, (just because i have dietary preferences) but at least they don't have an "eat everything" rule. this is my first study here after years of trying to get in.
i have no complaints with the staff.
our part of the facility is very small - two bedrooms, a main room, a bathroom. but there are only 13 of us here; the other half of our study has a similar set up, and no other studies going on, at least in our area. my main complaint, as usual, is the noise. there's no quiet room. our group is 2/3 african american, and the tv is always on loud, 100% african american programming, screaming profanity explosions etc. there's as usual the one guy who feels the need to sing or rap, and the ones who are on their phones all the time. i should invest in some noise-cancelling headphones. the bedrooms are like a hospital ward, maybe 8 or 10 beds, co-ed, with curtains. i just stay in my bed. our inpatient stay this study is short, it's mostly an outpatient study, so the noise is bearable, but it would be annoying to be here for a long study. the wifi can be painfully slow at times, but it works. i found the quiet room! missed it before. plus a game room. so far there's always someone in there on the phone, but having a quiet room means i can do longer studies here. also thought i'd mention dinner tonight: some kind of breaded chicken with goop on it, didnt eat. marinara sauce. breadsticks. asparagus. cranberries. artichoke hearts. salad. soda, that they recycled when i asked them to. so i'd say they are trying with the food. it's catered, but i don't know the company, since i'm not from here. also the peppered green beans yesterday were very good. = 2015 update: 6 mips on the wifi, not bad. maybe we are the only study in-house. two hours later down to 0.6 mips after 6 more people checked in. i wonder if they have their netflix on the same circuit as their wifi.

I agree with the bio-kinetic food being the worst. actually that's the worst facility I have been in ever.

This is usually the case with me but not always. That culture is obtrusive. I have more of a regard for personal space, especially noise space but they* do not. Really good earplugs are not enough - you need really good noise cancelling headphones. The tv is always on and so loud and, unfortunately, in the main center room. *To be clear, this is not a blanket statement for all black people, it's just that specific culture.
