I know someone who had a tooth yanked and needed the the x ray to the mouth done before the extraction could be preformed. He now wants to do a radio label study some weeks after this, should he have to be concerned with Human Spontaneous Combustion?

Yes. 95.426% of reported spontaneous combustions have happened after mouth x-rays. While correlation does is not causation, it's probably best if he steps away from this one.

Sumguy is this "someone you know" a drummer? if so i would not recommend the spinal tap study since combustion is the fate of all drummer-spinal tap scenarios.
Seriously though, if your asking if a x-ray before radio label is ok...i would say yes...even multiple x-rays. As the interview nurses for these radio labeled studies will tell you you get more radiation standing next to a microwave for a minute then the radio label tracer. I'm assuming they don't mean a 1950's microwave either.
