Every time I've checked recently it says everything is full. Maybe I'm just not checking at the right times; their studies fill up fast. Anybody know if they've been running studies this month?
I heard a rumor they might be shut down for retraining or soing, but these rumors don't always check out.

Same study back on, I screened in july, no drugs. Screened again august 8th, drugs clearing customs. Called me on Thursday to tell me drugs are there but labs will be 28 days old so can I come back, screen, put up with the lame calling competing again. Yeah right. This study is for an immunosuppressive, requires a 10 fast before daily dose and 4 hours after. That's nothing to eat from 10pm till noon the next day. I'll pass.

since you screened for it before you might talk them into giving you a preference so you don't have to do the call in thing.

No at all. I screened twice for it. After the 2nd they promised I was in. When they finally got the drugs, my labs were 30 days out. 28 was the cutoff. They wanted me to screen a third time, then participate in the call in competition to be a maybe. That's why I'm out. They will likely run out of the meds again. Or some other problem.

Wow, I didn't know about that call in thing. I've read about it for Celerion(or at least one of their locations), but didn't realize anyone else had it! A lot of people complain on here(or in clinics...or in life in general I suppose), but your beef seems more legit than many.
This $5500 study is back on... and folks likely will only have to do 1 screening, unlike our friend humanpincushion...so is anyone in? Now that I already have one I really want to get into, suddenly I've been spotting options I also would like, but cant do if I get in to the one I'm scheduled to screen for. It kind of seems like having a girlfriend, and then suddenly other girls seem more interested, even if they dont know about her.
For distance/travel costs, Pharma medica looks like it should be one of my top 5 go to places, but after checking a couple of threads in here, I'm wondering. That just gave me an idea to start a thread of favorites/least favorites.

I quoted my post instead of editing it, and am saying so rather than leaving an empty post. I wonder if Paul could enable a delete option for our own posts? Heck, I'm wondering if Paul is even real, as I haven't seen him on since I've joined, and apparently for quite some time before that? Is it even kosher to talk about Paul? I kind of feel odd doing it, like he is a deity.

Even though I'm enjoying the humor, I do have a serious question. When was the last time anyone has heard from Paul, either on here, or in real life? Is it possible he got tired of it all and moved to some tropical island with the money he saved? Maybe he has metaphorically decided to punt the board? I hope he is ok at least, as one has to wonder if doing that many studies for that long could take a toll on a human being. |

I think I've read most of the board(maybe all of it), and it seems to me like most(maybe all?) of those people have been gone for quite awhile now? I guess I can understand if Paul doesnt want to be Paul anymore. Some guy in Dallas was first mentioning him with reverance, but then mocking him for "double dipping" with that app and VCT or soing like that. I had read about it on here earlier, so I knew what he was talking about, though I dont know if I have an opinion. I mean we have banks that fund both sides of the wars, so this seems trivial to me. However, I'd get annoyed by it if I were Paul too. Maybe we can nominate Vark to be the new Paul. Do I have a second? I've learned you cant make folks enjoy soing, even if they may have in the past. Looking at some posts from some other mods in the past makes me respect Vark's contributions and self-control that much more. Some of those guys were abusive, and frankly I'm glad I wasn't around when they were. I'm trying to do my part to get new conversations going. I wasnt trying to be selfish and ask Paul to post a lot, but I honestly have no assurance the guy is even alive, you know? He could have ascended to a higher plane of existence, so that's why I was asking. Who knows how long in advance a person can pay for a web address and hosting? I'm just restless and have nothing left to read and have exhausted most of my study related questions for now, but I still feel like getting to know the community more, if that makes sense. Also, when I'm being humorous, I imagine things are often lost in translation on here. I see good people on here, and it's my goal to draw some lurkers out and get them to participate. For some reason I feel like throwing a "namaste" in here for everyone. |

interesting thoughts. i was merely imagining that if i were Paul, i would not want to be bombarded with requests for info that could be easily accessed on the internet, or worse, for supposed "inside" information re sponsors, etc., so it doesn't surprise me if he actually doesn't care to bother.
here on this forum, it is often true as well, that persons ask for info that is easily obtainable by googling a few questions. members often take the time to answer very basic questions, and i think that is a kind thing to do, but for many questions i often wonder why a person doesn't just spend 5 minutes googling some answers.
i am a bit puzzled why we need a "new" Paul? Paul is Paul and Vark is Vark. since both exist, why would either want to be someone else??
anyway my friend did indeed meet Paul. however, it was in late April or May and not in March as i posted above. so rest assured that he does exist.
i do agree that it would be terrific if more persons posted their experiences, thoughts, clinic reviews, etc., on this forum. if you can draw them out, great!

As a long time "lurker" most people just want the info on any "new" studies and don't want to actually delve into the why's and where's.
Anytime anyone ask me about a place for studies and info, I refer then to this place. Unless I have specific info on a study.
As I am mostly east coast and most of the post on here are midwest to east..Not relevant as I am not a traveler.
This site is HUGE and most people don't/can't even see the message boards unless specifically looking for it so they just go to the Study site.
Just my take on things
