I screened in Madison and there was no VCT. I can't say for certain that they don't have it at the Dallas location.
If you want to start a new VCT page, go ahead. I'm not going to because I never do studies that close together. I'm actually in favor of VCT. It keeps people from double-dipping. Like you say, it's not such a big deal to start a study 2 days before the 30 day mark. It's the people who dose with a new drug when they still have OPVs from another study. Those people are compromising the data and that's not okay.
Well I am trying to figure out how the thirty day wait for screening works because once u wait thirty days and then u screen for a study that usually doesn't start for at least two to three weeks from screening and then before u know it you are actually two months out starting your next study.
So in reality you need to screen before the thirty day mark in to screen and start your next study hopefully thirty to maybe forty days out.
Here is an example: I was at a study in Aug. that ended the 19th now screening Sept 28th and study does not start until Oct 18th so I am two months out.
so I don't think you are cheating if u try and screen close to the thirty day mark, I can't see any other way to be able to do studies exactly every other month.
that is my New Years goal to try and tweak my studies to where I can get a few more in next year.
ICON considers screening before the 30 day period as cheating. It happened to me. It doesn't matter.
My advice, IF YOU KNOW that you're NOT in the VCT system but you have completed a trial and it hasn't been 30 days for your screening then tell them NO, NO, NO, NO. They
WILL try to interrogate you and it's worse than getting questioned by the police. As in, take you into a private room in their dirty, janky office and try to scare you into telling the truth- even PRETENDING like they see soing in the system... seriously.
